A&K Alder Farm sits on 18.5 acres just outside of Sedro-Woolley in Washington's Skagit Valley. The property includes an open hay field, a small orchard, and shaded alder groves that create a quiet landscape surrounded by forest and mountain views.

The Farm is an evolving project centered around land stewardship, simple agriculture, and creating spaces where people can gather outdoors. Each season brings different rhythms - from haying the field, tending the orchard to hosting small gatherings on the land.

Young fruit trees continue to grow in our tiny orchard each season. Caring for the trees and harvesting fruit is part of the ongoing work of the farm.

Lavender and wildflowers attract bees and other pollinators that support the health of the farm ecosystem.

Goats, chickens and ducks are our friends here and help bring energy and personality to the landscape.

Where the chickens like to seek shelter and shade during the day, and sanctuary to hundreds of birds at night.

Fresh eggs are gathered daily from our chickens who free roam the property.

Depending on the time of year, you can enjoy picking plums, apples, pears, Asian pears, and cherries from our trees.

Seasonal vegetables and herbs are grown here on a hobby scale meant to be shared with friends, neighbors and guests.

Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries make their way into jams, preserves and chutneys.
